My progress

Thank you Holly, Stephanie, and Jenee on your comments. I am on my 14th day of no candy cookies, Pop ect. ( I did have some cake on the 14th for Val's birthday, but I made it with a diet Dr. Pepper instead of eggs, Oil, and water). I feel really good physically and that has been nice.
Jeremy's brother Mike talked with a personal trainer on how to be healthy and what kind of exercise and things we should be doing and got some really great ideas.
In the morning before I eat anything I go downstairs and do the circuit. That is 10 reps of sit ups, leg extentions, military presses, lifting ect. and then five minutes of cardio, then you do the reps, and another five minutes of cardio and you switch between (we have anyhow)the bike, the treadmil, or the stair steper on your cario. You do this for 30 minutes and it is supposed to burn more calories. The trick is to keep your heart rate up the entire time. I really like this because I don't get bored and it seems to go fairly quick.
I try and keep my calorie count low, and make sure I am eating some dairy, whole grains, fresh fruit, and generally watching portions. You are supposed to eat 5 small meals a day instead of the 3 large ones so I have been focusing on that also.
Fiber One cereal and bars have become some my favorite foods. I had lost another pound on Monday (Day 10). I put the scale away so I will not be checking it any time soon. We are not friends and it messes me up. I like to celebrate if I lose anything and if not I get depressed and eat a lot so either way it is a losing battle. So when I feel like I can take it I will get it back out (probably a week or two) and then I will let you know.
Thanks for your support~!~~

I'm so excited to hear how well you're doing on your weight loss goals! Good Job Girl! Keep up the good work. It made me laugh when you mentioned your enemy...."THE SCALE." I hate that thing too. I wish they were never invented! At least you're smart enough to tuck it away some where and only pull it out once and awhile. I...on the otherhand, step on that stupid thing everyday hoping for a miracle. You'd think I'd learn my lesson by now. So, I'm taking your advice and putting my damn scale hidden somewhere, so that I may not hear it's tiny little voice, calling me to weigh myself....everyday! Thanks!

Today at the gym I was reading a Health magazine that said there is a study that shows that increased fish oils (omega 3's) combined with exercising helps loose weight faster. I figure taking a fish oil supplement is actually good for you for other things anyway, why not see if it works for that too?!
Also, in the magazine it said excessweight.com is a good website.
Another article (I was on the elliptical for a while) said that people that get monthly "reminders" in the mail such as a health magazine, etc where 25% more likely to keep exercising than people that didn't get those monthly reminders. It may just be a ploy to sell their magazine but I see a point to it!
